Nazi Germany demanded “Your travel papers please.” And now America is no different.
  •  After we defeated the Nazi government who demanded IDs from everyone — The U.S. Supreme Court kept repeating over and over again that identification papers are abhorrent in the United States.  Details are in my book on Identification Credentials.
  • Back in 1948 it was understood that governments worldwide protect everyone’s privacy. Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 12:

    No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.
