AMERICA HELD CAPTIVE — Part 2 — How to recognize authority when you see it.

A badge has always been a symbol of servitude. Americans think that a badge is a symbol of authority.

Before you can understand why you became subject to the will of others, and why half of your earnings are taken by local, state and federal governments — you must first know why the Pilgrims fled to America.   You will need to understand what it means to hold the truth that all men are created equal.  And you will need to understand why the founding fathers created their state governments.  Then you need to understand that globalist forces have overthrown the U.S. government.

Authority is delegated to the U.S. government by “We The People” of the federal territories, not by the people of the States.1  They wrote a constitution to delegate to the U.S. government the 18 government functions — the 18 clauses in Article 1, section 8.

By creating a government it became their duty, and the duty of their posterity, to control the creature  that they created.

Government was created to secure the blessings of liberty to themselves and their posterity. All Congressmen swear oaths-of-office to secure the blessings of liberty.  There is no government authority to commit mutiny. People who take away your liberty have no authority, they are rebels who deny the authority of their office.

THE PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT

John Locke’s Second Treatise of Government is the basis for most of the Declaration of Independence.

Paragraph 222

The reason why men enter into society is the preservation of their [liberty and] property …. it can never be supposed to be the will of the society that the legislative should have a power to destroy that which every one designs to secure by entering into society,…. [this] holds true also concerning the [executive branch], who having a double trust put in him… acts also contrary to his trust when he employs the [offices of government] to corrupt … to cut up the government by the roots, and poison the very fountain of public security…

John Locke’s Second Treatise Of Government has as his last chapter, the topic of Dissolution of Government. The suggestion that government would not obey the laws would be “politics inconceivable to human capacity, and inconsistent with human society.”

Paragraph 149:

the community perpetually retains a supreme power of saving themselves from the attempts and designs of anybody, even of their legislators, whenever they be so foolish or so wicked as to lay and carry on designs against the liberties and properties of the subject.”

Again: There is no government authority to commit mutiny. People who take away your liberty have no authority, they are rebels.  In The Second Treatise of Government Paragraph 227 we are warned that when:

legislators act contrary to the end for which they were constituted, those who are guilty are guilty of rebellion. … [by] introducing a power which the people hath not authorised, actually introduce a state of war, which is that of force without authority; … And.. legislators themselves… who were set up for the protections and preservation of the people, their liberties and properties… [put] themselves into a state of war with those who made them the protectors and guardians of their peace, are … with the greatest aggravation, rebellantes, rebels.”

We did not have a government for the first ten books of the Bible. Family patriarchs were the governments.  We did not need a central government then. We do not need a central government now.  When people wanted to hire a king to make their decisions, they elected  Saul as King — which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, First Samuel 12:17b.   Don’t worship the evil idea that you need a king.

Don’t confuse this attitude with anarchy. It is the opposite of Anarchy. Anarchists are provocateurs (liberal wackos) who want to play god to lord over (dominate) others and the property of others. Anarchists have a passion for destruction. They form collectives in order to dominate others. They tell you to obey the collective, and punish you for having a God-given free-will.   They have no respect for the rights of others.

You are a slave to whom you obey according to Romans 6:16.  You have chosen your master – lord – protector. If you are denied the ability to choose for yourself, then others are forcing their will on you. You have denied the legitimacy of your God-given free will.

Authority of Natural Law
GOVERNMENT A power delegated for the Happiness of Mankind Conducted by wisdom justice and mercy
Miscellaneous authorities on the topic of authority

No one can delegate an authority that he himself does not have. All government power comes from the people who created it. There is no government power that did not come from its creators. If real people can’t do something, then they could not have delegated that authority to the government they created. I repeat: If you cannot do something then you cannot delegate, in a written constitution, an authority you don’t have. IF YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING THEN YOUR GOVERNMENT CANNOT DO IT EITHER. You delegated the authority to possess nuclear bombs, prescribe drugs, and execute criminals because you have these rights, unless you somehow waived your rights. Again: All authority comes from God. If you fail to control your creature, you are irresponsible. You will suffer the natural consequence of your irresponsibility, which is Domination. It was John Philpot Curran, 1790 who said: “The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he breaks, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime.”  YOU turned your back on your responsibility.

Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Cartwright, June 5, 1824 (The Thomas Jefferson Papers, Library of Congress):

The constitutions of most of our states assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in  all cases to which they think themselves competent, (as in electing their functionaries executive and legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, both fact and law, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved) or they may ask by representatives, freely and equally chosen;     that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; to freedom of person; freedom of religion; freedom of property; and freedom of the press.”

Texas Supreme Court in Dallas v. Mitchell, 245 SW 944:

“The rights of the individual are not derived from governmental agencies, either municipal, state, federal, or even from the Constitution, but they exist inherently in every man, and are merely reaffirmed in the Constitution and restricted only to the extent they have been voluntarily surrendered by the citizenship to the agencies of government.”

US Supreme Court in Luther v. Borden, 48 U.S. 1,:”…The sovereignty in every state resides in the people of the state and they may alter and change their form of government at their own pleasure.”

US Supreme Court syllabus in Luther v. Borden 48 U.S. 1:

the people are the source of all political power. Every one believes this. Where else is there any power? There is no hereditary legislature, no large property, no throne, no primogeniture. Every body may buy and sell. There is an equality of rights. Any one who should look to any other source of power than the people would be as much out of his mind as Don Quixote, who imagined that he saw things which did not exist. Let us all admit that the people are sovereign. Jay said that in this country there were many sovereigns and no subject. A portion of this sovereign power has been delegated to government, which represents and speaks the will of the people as far as they chose to delegate their power. Congress have not all. The State governments have not all. The Constitution of the United States does not speak of the government. It says the United States. Nor does it speak of State governments.”

US Supreme Court in Yick Wo v. Hopkins, 118 U.S. 356 (1886), page 370:

Sovereignty itself is, of course, not subject to law, for it is the author and source of law; but in our system, while sovereign powers are delegated to the agencies of government, sovereignty itself remains with the people, by whom and for whom all government exists and acts. And the law is the definition and limitation of power. It is, indeed, quite true, that there must always be lodged somewhere, and in some person or body, the authority of final decision; and in many cases of mere administration the responsibility is purely political, no appeal lying except to the ultimate tribunal of the public judgment, exercised either in the pressure of opinion or by means of the suffrage. But the fundamental rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, considered as individual possessions, are secured by those maxims of constitutional law which are the monuments showing the victorious progress of the race in securing to men the blessings of civilization under the reign of just and equal laws, so that, in the famous language of the Massachusetts Bill of Rights, the government of the commonwealth “may be a government of laws and not of men.” For, the very idea that one man may be compelled to hold his life, or the means of living, or any material right essential to the enjoyment of life, at the mere will of another, seems to be intolerable in any country where freedom prevails, as being the essence of slavery itself.”

Spooner v. McConnell, 22 F. 939 @ 943:

The sovereignty of a state does not reside in the persons who fill the different departments of its government, but in the People, from whom the government emanated; and they may change it at their discretion. Sovereignty, then in this country, abides with the constituency, and not with the agent; and this remark is true, both in reference to the federal and state government.”

Abraham Lincoln, speech at Cincinnati, September 17, 1859: “Our safety, our liberty, depends upon preserving the Constitution of the United States as our fathers made it inviolate. The people of the United States are the rightful masters of both congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”

Supreme Court Justice Chase, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was impeached for “… endeavoring to wrest from the jury their indisputable right to hear argument, and determine upon the question of law as well as the question of fact, …”

Your U.S. Government itself, in the Chase Transcript Article 1, section 2, clause 4, argued that Justice Chase did this outrageous thing  “… to the disgrace of the character of the American bench, in manifest violation of law and justice and in open contempt of the rights of juries, on which ultimately rest the liberty and safety of the American people.”

HISTORY of non-submission

Abraham delivered us from Babylon. Moses delivered us from Pharaoh. Christ delivered us from Caesar.  The unchanging God of the Bible wants you to be a free soul under His authority, and not enslaved to any manmade collective.  In the history of European Christians, we often disobey government.  This is not anarchy.

  • Martin Luther’s Secular Authority: To What Extent It Should be Obeyed, was published in 1523.
  • Starting in the 1520s the Annabaptists (todays Amish and Mennonites) were burned at the stake for refusing to register their children with the authorities.
  • William Tynndale was executed in 1536 for translating the Bible into English.
  • The Pilgrims fled from King James I and his government published bible in 1620.  They did not bring to America the bible they fled from.
  • Samuel Rutherford published Lex Rex in 1644. Law is King (Lex Rex) refers to divine law, not to tyranny.
  • We executed King Charles I in 1649.
  • Up until the 1650s Quakers were still executed in Massachusetts.
  • William Penn was given a large land grant (Pennsylvania) to expel Quakers from England
  • The divine right of Kings to rule was completely refuted in 1688 by John Locke’s First Treatise of Government.
  • It was not until 1826 that the last State in the U.S. disestablished their state religion, allowing for a secular takeover by your Novus Ordo Seclorum.
AUTHORITY IS ALWAYS WHERE IT BEGAN, with its root word THE AUTHOR

John Locke’s Second Treatise of Government, 1690 paragraph 202: “Where-ever law ends, tyranny begins

William Blackstone’s 1765 Commentaries on the Law are considered by the Supreme Court to be part of the received-law-of-the-land. In the introduction to this 4 volume law textbooks there is a summary of the law:

… no human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this: and such of them as are valid derive all their force, and all their authority, mediately or immediately, from this original.. … Neither could any other law possibly exist; … for we are all equal, without any other superior but him who is the author of our being.”

It was recognized in Protestant cultures that all sovereign authority is vested in the people. Supreme power – jura summi imperii was the Roman terminology – resides in the people. They can create their government to protect their unalienable God-given rights. They can write whatever law and delegate whatever authority is needed to control the government they create. Or alter their form of Government.2

This principle was valid when Wycliffe wrote the introduction to his English Bible translation. He said that the Bible creates a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Lincoln became famous for quoting it.

This principle was our right since the beginning. Alexander Hamilton, Federalist #28:

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, … if the persons entrusted with supreme power become usurpers, … The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.”

Does that sound like Hamilton expected us to blindly obey government powers because they are somehow ordained of God to be higher powers?

The law of nature requires us to supervise our civil servants, and if the servants fail to enforce the divine law of nature, we are restored to the nature that we were in prior to creating government, for we are all equal. See Locke’s Second Treatise paragraphs 135, 149, 171, 209. . Legibus sumptis desinentibus, lege naturae utendum est. When laws of the state fail, we must resort to the laws of nature.

This principle was still valid when Abraham Lincoln made his First Inaugural Address, March 4, 1861:

“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it.”

Does that sound like Lincoln expected us to obey government powers because they are somehow ordained of God to be higher powers? Did Lincoln’s words go over your head? Perhaps you are so blinded by the god of this age (Second Corinthians 4:4) that you don’t understand why a president would speak of overthrowing government.

If you don’t understand why a president would speak of overthrowing government then you don’t understand authority. Abe knew where his authority came from. “We The People” are the jura summi imperii that created a limited government (limited to the 18 things they were delegated). The posterity of We The People are responsible for controlling the creature they created.

Government is an offspring* of society’s free will. Unfortunately, we did not control our creature. If society cannot obey it’s creator, don’t expect its creature to obey theirs. (mutiny all the way down the chain of command).

* a falling away has revealed a mankind (anthropos) of perdition, the offspring of perdition/destruction.

Other than family (patriarchal ) government, we didn’t have a government for the first 10 books of the Bible. We didn’t need one then, and we don’t need one now.

Romans 13 defined legitimate authority as authority that comes from heaven. “For there is no power but of God.”. Tyrants are excluded in verse 3. Ungodly judges are excluded in verse 4.   The same Paul who wrote Romans 13 also wrote that he would not be brought under the power of any in First Corinthians 6:12.

Peter said “We ought to obey God rather than men” in Acts 5:29. Peter told Christians to submit to government in order to silence the ignorance of foolish men. (First Peter 2:15).  I don’t think he was telling us to commit wrongs.

All of the apostles were executed by government, except for John the Revelator.

SUBMIT TO THE COLLECTIVE?

No form of collectivism can recognize individual rights. Communism, Fascism, Socialism and Democracy can never recognize individual rights.

Socialism cannot create wealth, it can only redistribute the wealth of others.

Self-called “Christians” tell us that we must obey Government.  They cite Romans 13:1 and First Peter 2:13-14 as “proof”.  These same “Christians” get their religion from a 501(c)(3) government corporation.  Yet the U.S. Constitution prohibits a government from establishing a church. And a church is incorporated into Christ (John 15:4-5).  See my article Should a Christian obey government?.

You should “obey God rather than men” as it says in Acts 5:29. But obeying the collective is obedience to men, rather than God.

The second Commandment:

“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD [Yhôvâh] thy God [Elohiym] am a jealous God [Elohiym]”

The collective’s choice for you is not always your individual choice.

God gave us free will to act within the boundaries He set. He wants you to be a free soul under his authority2. He ordered us to take dominion over the earth. Obeying man’s boundaries over your free-will makes you a submissive wimp. The existence of the collective’s choice (to choose for you) denies that you have God given free will. The collective will determine how much privacy you can have, how much money you can keep, how you contract for necessities of life, how much water your toilet can flush, and how to repair your back porch after you beg for a permit. How can you take dominion over the earth with the collective controlling your life? Why they could even prevent you from buying and selling with the gold or silver coins that are the only lawful currency mentioned in the Constitution, and then force you to get a banking authorization number to buy or sell.

Did the same Peter that is quoted in Acts 5:29 “obey God rather than men” suddenly change his mind in First Peter 2:13-16

“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.”

Notice that it is the “will of God…to silence the ignorance of foolish men”.  He is telling people not to attract attention with their new liberty from graven (manmade) laws. After all, law is not made for the righteous, First Timothy 1:9.

He was being rather bold in his liberty2 as was Paul in First Corinthians 6:12. The same Paul who wrote that every soul should submit to higher authority (Romans 13:1) did not change his mind in First Corinthians 6:12 when he said he would not be brought under the power of any. Both Peter and Paul were eventually executed.

The collective is a jealous god. They have a word for your required submission. They call it Law.

OR SUBMIT TO GOD

There is a term for Submitting to God. The word is Law.

The God of the Bible wants you to have free will limited only by your God-given reasoning that you are to conform to His will. (even if you don’t love Him enough to obey all his Commandments ). Your duty is to perform your God-given responsibilities under His authority, not under the authority of the god you have chosen (a man made graven artificial entity). You were warned that your elected king would take, take, take until the collective wants God back into their life, but God will not answer your prayers (God honored your free-will, you got what you wanted, stop complaining). First Samuel 8:18 “And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the LORD will not hear you in that day.”

In America’s 13 original colonies there was a four volume law textbook Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Law published in 1765.

Blackstone’s Commentaries explains what law is.  Near the beginning of a seven page introduction to this four volume law textbook:

But laws, in their more confined sense, and in which it is our present business to consider them, denote the rules, not of action in general, but of human action or conduct: that is, the precepts by which man, the noblest of all sublunary beings, a creature endowed with both reason and freewill, is commanded to make use of those faculties in the general regulation of his behaviour.

Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his creator, for he is entirely a dependent being. A being, independent of any other, has no rule to pursue, but such as he prescribes to himself; but a state of dependence will inevitably oblige the inferior to take the will of him, on whom he depends, as the rule of his conduct: not indeed in every particular, but in all those points wherein his dependence consists. This principle therefore has more or less extent and effect, in proportion as the superiority of the one and the dependence of the other is greater or less, absolute or limited. And consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his maker for every thing, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his maker’s will.

This will of his maker is called the law of nature. For as God, when he created matter, and endued it with a principle of mobility, established certain rules for the perpetual direction of that motion; so, when he created man, and endued him with freewill to conduct himself in all parts of life, he laid down certain immutable laws of human nature, whereby that freewill is in some degree regulated and restrained, and gave him also the faculty of reason to discover the purport of those laws.

Considering the creator only as a being of infinite power, he was able unquestionably to have prescribed whatever laws he pleased to his creature, man, however unjust or severe. But as he is also a being of infinite wisdom, he has laid down only such laws as were founded in those relations of justice, that existed in the nature of things antecedent to any positive precept. These are the eternal, immutable laws of good and evil, to which the creator himself in all his dispensations conforms; and which he has enabled human reason to discover, so far as they are necessary for the conduct of human actions. Such among others are these principles: that we should live honestly, should hurt nobody, and should render to every one his due; to which three general precepts Justinian has reduced the whole doctrine of law.”

Footnote 1. U.S. Supreme Court in John Barron v. City of Baltimore 32 U.S. 243 “The constitution was ordained and established by the people of the United States for themselves, for their own government, and not for the government of the individual states.”

Footnote 2: BOLD IN LIBERTY

Christians will be persecuted. All apostles except one were eventually executed. They considered their persecution to be joy. Matthew 5:12 says rejoice and be exceedingly glad. It should be so with all Christians. Get used to it.

Those who obey the collective “to silence the ignorance of foolish men” are navigating their course around a storm created by a jealous lord (the collective).

Christianity, even prior to the sun worshipers claiming to be Christians, was not easy. CHRISTIANS EVADED THE CIVIL AUTHORITIES. Many ended up living in caves to avoid the civil authorities.

Today is much the same.

Just prior to the year 200, Tertulillan wrote in Chapter XXIV of his book “Ante-Nicene Fathers”:

Amid these reefs and inlets, amid these shallows and straits of idolatry, Faith, her sails filled by the Spirit of God, navigates; safe if cautious, secure if intently watchful. But to such as are washed overboard is a deep whence is no out-swimming; to such as are run aground is inextricable shipwreck; to such as are engulfed in a whirlpool, where there is no breathing-even in idolatry. All waves thereof whatsoever suffocate; every eddy thereof sucks down unto Hades. Let no one say, “Who will so safely foreguard himself? We shall have to go out of the world!” [1st Corinthians 5:10] As if it were not as well worth while to go out, as to stand in the world as an idolater! Nothing can be easier than caution against idolatry, if the fear of it be our leading fear; any “necessity” whatever is too trifling compared to such a peril. The reason why the Holy Spirit did, when the apostles at that time were consulting, relax the bond and yoke for us, was that we might be free to devote ourselves to the shunning of idolatry. This shall be our Law, the more fully to be administered the more ready it is to hand; (a Law) peculiar to Christians, by means whereof we are recognized and examined by heathens. This Law must be set before such as approach unto the Faith, and inculcated on such as are entering it; that, in approaching, they may deliberate; observing it, may persevere; not observing it, may renounce their name. We will see to it, if, after the type of the Ark, there shall be in the Church raven, kite, dog, and serpent. At all events, an idolater is not found in the type of the Ark: no animal has been fashioned to represent an idolater. Let not that be in the Church which was not in the Ark.

That was true Christianity. These sheep knew their master’s voice. The first two Commandments prohibit bowing to other gods.

Emperor Decius from 249 to 251AD commanded worship from everyone. Those who refused to acknowledge this lordship went to their deaths. Protesters who wanted to live were allowed to burn a little incense.

Today’s pagans remain clueless. (their hearts have been darkened. Romans 1:21, Romans 11:8-10, Ephesians 4:18). Today’s pagans will bow down (salute) graven idols that their ancestors created. (black robed priests, colored fabric or artificial entities). They actually think that it is mandatory to sign perjury oaths to graven images. Do you smell incense?

Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set you free (Galatians 5).  It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:32).  God’s word is truth (John 17:17)
