Can a governor prohibit the free exercise of religion?

Your State’s Constitution should say that congress shall make no law establishing religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

But can a governor ban religion by prohibiting the free exercise thereof?

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice.  I believe that tyranny must be resisted, and that acquiescence waives your right to complain.  Resistance is not futile. Do not be assimilated.

The right to free exercise of religion is a God-given right. The Declaration of independence says that the laws of nature’s God entitle the United States to exist.  It then goes on to declare that governments are instituted among men to secure Creator-endowed unalienable rights.

And since government is instituted to protect rights, you have a Constitutionally guaranteed, government protected, right to worship together*. It is protected until waived. A right must be protected. Government was created – “instituted among men” was the phrase used in the Declaration of Independence – to protect rights. Ordained was the religious term they used to establish your State’s Constitution.

* Christ himself gave his followers a command. In the only ministry event that is recorded in all four gospels, He told us to sit down in groups of fifty.
Can a governor prohibit what the Bible commands?
Hebrews 10:25  tell us “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, ”
The Apostle Peter told us to obey God, not men in Acts 5:29.

Read your State’s Constitution and find out what emergency authority the governor actually has. Your Constitution will give legislative authority to congress. But during an emergency, when action must be taken before Congress can convene, such as forest fires or an enemy attack, the governor can take the initial steps to react to the urgent situation. Even if the pandemic was urgent back in February, your State’s Congress had plenty of time to step in and do their job. But they still don’t have the authority to violate their oaths-of-office, question the legitimacy of their office, mutiny against the State, Nor pass laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Not even if they act unanimously.

What is the State’s compelling State interest in destroying your rights to protect healthy people from a mild disease?

  • First Amendment Rights are “susceptible to restriction only to prevent grave and immediate danger to interests which the state may lawfully protect” (This phrase was used in many Supreme Court decisions to protect your rights. Carrol v. Princess Anne 393 U.S. 175, Thomas v. Collins 323 U.S. 516, West Virginia v. Barnette 319 U.S. 624, in re Brown 9 Cal.3d 612 West’s Constitutional law, key 84, 90, 91 — etc.)
  • Ben Franklin once wrote that “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” — Benjamin Franklin, November 11, 1755; Reply to the Governor. This is inscribed on a plaque in the stairwell of the Statute of Liberty.
  • Miller v. US, 230 F2d 489: “The claim and exercise of a Constitutional right cannot be converted into a crime.”
  • Constitutionally guaranteed rights are guaranteed by the elected officer’s bond.

I don’t have insight into what court actions are being taken to restore the free exercise of religion. But I have not seen any reports of

  • Petition for Writ of Quo Warranto.
  • Petition for Writ of Mandamus.
  • Petition for Writ of Treason.
  • Petition for Injunction.
  • Suit for damages. (By the way, Liberty includes the right to worship God according to the dictates of your conscience. Your liberty is worth $1,000 per minute for everyone who yearns to breathe free. Find out if your State’s Treasury can withstand such liability).

Warning: Most of today’s so-called Churches have worshiped the State as their god. They have become 501(c)(3) government corporations. They are artificial entities belonging to the state. Any such “church” is not a church and will not prevail against their master/owner/protector/lord. No man can serve two masters. Christ spoke of corporations. He said that he was the branch and we were the vines.

Supreme Court in Girouard v. U.S., 328 U.S. 61 (1946)

The struggle for religious liberty has through the centuries been an effort to accommodate the demands of the State to the conscience of the individual. The victory for freedom of thought recorded in our Bill of Rights recognizes that in the domain of conscience there is a moral power higher than the State. Throughout the ages men have suffered death rather than subordinate their allegiance to God to the authority of the State. Freedom of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment is the product of that struggle. As we [328 U.S. 61, 69]   recently stated in United States v. Ballard, 322 U.S. 78, 86 , 64 S.Ct. 882, 886, ‘Freedom of thought, which includes freedom of religious belief, is basic in a society of free men.”

Taking Vaccines is proof that you don’t trust God for protection.

Taking vaccines is proof that you want to hide from God’s plagues that He intended to purge the land.

I have no right to hide from God’s plagues.

God-given power to cure diseases.

Praying to another god to cure diseases denies the Lordship of the LORD. Especially if the other god is a man-made (graven) artificial entity.

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

Matthew 14:36 And sought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Matthew 10:1

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Can a Governor Prohibit going forth to preach and heal?

Mark 3:14-15 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

Mark 16:17-18 tells us what signs follow them that believe:

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 … they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

First Corinthians 12:8-9 – Some Christians have been give the gift of healing.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Acts 5:15 So that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

Can a Governor Require touching an unclean thing?

Vaccine Manufacturers will not disclose the contents of their vaccines. They are proprietary. We know that some vaccines are made from aborted fetal cells and pig components. Christians will not touch unclean vaccines. We are called out to be separate.

We must keep the leaven out. Your vaccines are putrefied leaven. The Apostle Peter, in Acts 10:13-16, knew enough about the unchanging God of the Bible to refuse three times a direct command from heaven to consume unclean [animal cells].

Christians are commanded to come out from among your system of forced violence.

Second Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

We are commanded to spread heard immunity among ourselves: laying on of hands and a kiss. Christ commanded us to gather together in companies of fifties per Luke 9:14. And we must gather together (or at least “NOT forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” per Hebrews 10:25).

Can a Governor Prohibit the laying on of hands?

Mark 5:23 And sought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death: I pray you, come and lay your hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.

Acts 28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

Can a Governor Prohibit greeting with a holy kiss?

First Corinthians 16:20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

Second Corinthians 13:12 Greet one another with an holy kiss.

First Thessalonians 5:26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

First Peter 5:14 Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Can a Governor prohibit PLAGUES?

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Protection from God’s retribution deines the authority of God.

Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
